this will be the final update to this blog, the screenplay has been improved by replacing one or two scenes as well as re-writing certain scenes.
for my research on this screenplay i visited the life of lincoln muesuem which houses one of the few world war 1 tank itself which was one leading inspiration for the screenplay. i also read the "the landships of lincoln", second edition, by richard pullen. another source of inspiration was the movie fury which helped me create the battle scene at the end.

it has been a while since i last updated this blog, due to work time along with out off university work as well as personal issues wich thankfully have been resolved. after recievieng feed back on my first draft i have decided to re arrange two scenes from the screenplay that involve conflict between the characters. on top of this i will be making adjustments to lines of dialouge and also re- write the first scene. i aim to have the second draft re-written within the next few days and will post the results on this blog afterwards.

i have continued my reading and have already constructed a basic outline for the plot. im still deciding how to prioritize the characters as well as which character will be killed off potentially. whilst i am currently prioritizing other essay work i am still working on the outlines off the narrative for the screenplay. my main concern is the dialogue between the characters as i would rather it flow naturally, however one thing to take into consideration with this would be the use of dialouge as speech in the early 20th centuray was somewhat different.

i was un able to update my blog last week due to eccessive work hours outside off uni, i have however kept up with my research by reading the book " the landships of lincoln" ive also been playing the game battlefield one which has part off the games main story set inside off a ww1 tank, the writing and interaction between these characters is very diverse and unique and does give me some ideas for my own set off characters and there interactions with one another. one thing i must avoid however is copying or mimicing this part from battlefield one as whilst i want some off my work to be inspired by this i would rather it be own my own work and not a plagurised piece. my next set of research will be on some off the battles that took place during ww1 to help create a backdrop for the narritive.

due to various influences thanks to modern media and up-coming releases i have decided to base my screenplay loosely around events that took place during world war 1. howeveri got stuck when trying to create a good enough atmosphere for a ten minute screenplay, after putting thought into it i rememrd that lincoln was the original homeplace of the tank, after doing even further research i discoverd that the life off lincoln muesuem had an originall ww1 tank on display. with this information i decided to go and have a first hand look at the tank itself only to be taken aback by the behomith. it was a sureal experince actual seeing this kind off vehicle that had been used in combat, what made it such an experince was the amount off times i had used the same vehicle in a video game. whilst the vehicle itself was a different varient of the one used in this video game it made the experince more dawnting when i realised just what this vehicles purpose was, and how the crew operating it must have been like. after viewing the tank in person and reading up on its history i have decided to base my screenplay around the crew of one off these ww1 tanks, i have also decided to name the tank within the screenplay after the one on display, though this may not come to fruition within the screenplay it should help inspire me to work better towards this project.
